Pregnant ladies for the RCM

I was asked by the Royal College of Midwives Magazine to do two images concerning thyroid glands in pregnancy. This image was also used for the Sept 2010 Issue cover.

A most fascinating article about the intense structure of a bee colony. In the time that we should be most aware of their impact on our lives and our food production mechanisms.
The first drawing shows a loose anatomical view of the worker, the queen and the drone.



The second ink drawing features a birch forest.
The way it stands- one of those rare framed images in the back of your mind, one of the beauties this planet has to offer. Tender and sinister. Loved.
